Welcome to ADEQ Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program

To improve air quality and reduce vehicle emissions, ADEQ administers a mandatory vehicle emissions testing and repair program known as Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program (VEIP).

VEIP emphasizes the importance of maintaining vehicle performance to lower emissions and extend the life of one of your most valuable assets - your car. VEIP uses new testing technology and customer service measures to increase the effectiveness of emissions testing and shorten the time customers spend in the testing process. The results are cleaner air, faster testing procedures and better customer service.

ADEQ Helps Pay for Repairs of Failed Emissions Inspection

November, 2017

ADEQ is highlighting their Voluntary Vehicle Repair Program, devised to help cover the costs associated with repairing a vehicle after failing an emissions test.

Arizona's VVRP is designed to help those who are in need of financial assistance in repairing their vehicle. If a vehicle qualifies, the State of Arizona will pay up to $550 for repair of gasoline vehicles and up to $1,000 for repair of heavy duty diesel vehicles. Customers in the program will co-pay the first $150 of repairs while the State will contribute up to the designated amounts.

ADEQ has pre-screened participating repair facilities to ensure a 90% or better emission test pass rate after the initial repair. This eliminates the need for you to find a repair facility. Inquire with any on-site VEC Manager or call myAZcar.com hotline at 1-877-692-9227 for more information.
